Uses

【Use 1】

Due to its high boiling point and low evaporation rate, it can be used as a solvent for paints, inks, resins, etc. It can dissolve oils, dyes, resins, nitrocellulose, etc., and is also used in organic synthesis.

【Use 2】

Mainly used as a solvent in coatings, dyes, resins, etc. It is also used as an intermediate for plasticizers and a diluent for hydraulic brake fluids. Additionally, it is used to produce piperine butoxy compounds. The oral LD50 for rats is 6560 mg/kg.

【Use 3】

Mainly used as a solvent for coatings, printing inks, stamp pad inks, oils, resins, etc. It can also be used as a metal detergent, paint remover, lubricant remover, automotive engine detergent, dry cleaning solvent, epoxy resin solvent, and pharmaceutical extractant; used as a stabilizer for latex paints, an evaporation inhibitor for aircraft coatings, and a surface finishing improver for high-temperature baking enamels, etc.
