Applications:
N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), also known as 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, is a polar aprotic solvent with a high boiling point, strong polarity, low viscosity, strong dissolving power, non-corrosiveness, low toxicity, strong biodegradability, low volatility, and excellent chemical and thermal stability. It is mainly used in many industries such as petrochemicals, plastics, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, and lithium-ion battery manufacturing. It is widely used for aromatic hydrocarbon extraction, purification of acetylene, olefins, and dienes, and as a solvent and medium for polymer polymerization reactions, such as engineering plastics like polyamides, polyimides, and polyphenylene sulfides, as well as aramid fibers. It is also used in insulating materials, pesticides, pigments, electronic product manufacturing, and cleaning agents.
