Uses and Applications

1. This product is used as a solvent for rubber, coatings, and varnishes; a thinner for adhesives; and a fat and oil extractant. Due to its low toxicity, it is often used in place of benzene for degreasing, delubrication, and paint removal. 1. This product is primarily used in the manufacture of nylon monomers adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, and caprolactam; it is also used as a raw material for the manufacture of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone.

2. It is used as an analytical reagent, such as a solvent and a standard substance for chromatographic analysis. It is also used in organic synthesis.

3. It is used for complexometric titration of copper, iron, silicon, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, etc.; and as a standard substance for chromatographic analysis.

4. It is used as a solvent for photoresists.

5. It is used for the extraction of essential oils.

6. Cyclohexane is used as a cleaning and degreasing agent. MOS grade is mainly used in discrete devices and medium- and large-scale integrated circuits, while BV-III grade is mainly used in very large-scale integrated circuits.
