Solvent oil
D25-D100 series solvent oils

Name:D25-D100 series solvent oils

Details

Environmentally friendly solvent oils:

Free of benzene solvents, these oils are non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendly. They can replace benzene-based solvents and are widely used in industries such as coatings, edible oils, printing inks, leather, pesticides, insecticides, rubber, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemical polymerization, and IC electronic component cleaning.

Environmentally friendly solvent oils are specialty solvent oils, also known as dearomatic solvent oils, commonly referred to as D-series solvent oils. Domestically, the D-series designations from ExxonMobil are used. "D" stands for Dearomatic, indicating a solvent oil with removed aromatics. The number represents the flash point. Major grades include D20, D30, D40, D60, D70, D80, and D100.

Environmentally friendly solvent oils are specialty solvent oils, formerly known as odorless kerosene, also called dearomatic solvent oils or dearomatic cleaning solvent oils, commonly referred to as D-series solvent oils. Generally composed of dearomatic aliphatic hydrocarbons, with the molecular formula CH3(CH2)nCH3 (n is 8-16). Commonly available brands on the market are the D series solvent oils, such as D30#, D40#, D60#, D65#, D80#, D90#, D100#, D110#, D130#, D160#, etc., numbered according to their flash point. For example, D40# has a flash point of 40℃; D80# has a flash point of 80℃. The initial boiling point of this series of solvent oils is generally around 150℃, while the final boiling point can reach up to around 300℃, depending on the higher grade and application.

Environmentally friendly solvent oils are a general term for a large category of kerosene-based products. They can be further divided into numerous grades according to user needs. Environmentally friendly solvent oils are suitable for use in various industries, including fragrances, cigarette adhesives, aerosols, metal cleaning agents, insecticides, plastic polymerization reaction aids, daily chemicals, lubricants, stamping and shearing oils, EDM oils, dry cleaning agents, liquid mosquito coils, degreasers, and herbicides. They are also used in fine chemical fields such as edible oil processing, food packaging, and cosmetic formulation, resulting in a huge market demand. The modern aluminum profile processing generally involves casting, rolling, finishing, and heat treatment. During the aluminum profile rolling process, to ensure high oxidation stability, good annealing cleanliness, and process lubrication of cold-rolled sheets, a certain proportion of petroleum hydrocarbon solvent oil, i.e., aluminum rolling base oil, such as D100# solvent oil, needs to be added. Because aluminum rolling base oils have characteristics such as narrow boiling range, high flash point, high safety, minimal viscosity increase with pressure, good annealing cleaning properties, no corrosiveness to materials, no staining, low volatile emissions, and no toxic substances in the volatiles, aluminum rolled from them can be widely used in the food packaging industry, such as cigarette foil. N-alkanes and isoalkanes with more than 10 C atoms have very low toxicity and are odorless, but their solubility is the lowest. They are preferred for use in aerosols and aluminum rolling oils because aerosols are consumer products requiring very low toxicity and no odor, while their solubility requirements are not very high. Aluminum rolling oils are prone to fogging and volatilization during processing, requiring the use of low-toxicity solvents in the working environment. Cooling and lubrication performance can be improved by adding additives. Environmentally friendly solvent oils, due to the removal of aromatics, have lower toxicity and less environmental pollution, but their volatility and solubility are lower than aromatic solvent oils. They still possess the basic characteristics of solvent oils and are suitable for various industries. Because it removes aromatics, it is an environmentally friendly product, significantly increasing its added value. It is generally used in industries with high environmental requirements but relatively low overall demand, such as aerosols, dry cleaning agents, electronic cleaning agents, and precision machining. The reduction in solubility, lubrication, and penetration caused by aromatic removal can be compensated for by adding special additives.
