Polishing slurry temperature: Increased temperature enhances the chemical reaction of the polishing slurry, increasing the polishing rate. However, excessively high temperatures can cause problems during polishing.
The evaporation of mechanical polishing slurry and the accelerated chemical reaction lead to severe surface corrosion, resulting in uneven polishing and reduced polishing quality.
High-concentration polishing slurry pH value: Higher pH values indicate stronger alkalinity and faster reaction rates. However, pH value significantly affects the etching of the polished surface, the decomposition and solubility of abrasives, and the stability of the polishing slurry, thus impacting material removal rate and surface quality. Therefore, strict control is essential.
Dongguan polishing slurry pressure: Generally, higher pressure results in a faster polishing rate. However, sufficiently high pressure can slightly decrease the polishing rate because it reduces the polishing pad's capacity to hold the slurry. Additionally, high pressure can easily cause fragmentation.
Polishing slurry rotation speed: Increased rotation speed increases the polishing rate. However, excessively high rotation speeds can cause uneven distribution of the polishing slurry on the polishing pad, affecting polishing quality.
Polishing slurry concentration: As the concentration of the polishing slurry increases, the removal rate also increases. However, when the abrasive concentration exceeds a certain value, the material removal rate will stop increasing and remain at a constant value. This phenomenon is called removal saturation. Moreover, excessively high concentrations may cause an increase in surface defects (scratches), affecting surface quality.
